LITTLE LEAGUE
Also known as Majors
The most experienced level of Little League Baseball. For 10-12 year old players, this division is played under Official Little League Baseball Rules, but implements some special rules as necessary for the development and welfare of the young age group. The six-inning game is played on a 60-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 46 feet. Placement on a Little League team is through a tryout and player draft. Little League teams require a big commitment with games and practices up to six days per week. All players not drafted into the Little League will be drafted by a team in the Minor League division and placed into the appropriate Minor League by league officials based upon ability, skill and safety considerations.
MINOR LEAGUE
Also known as AAA & AA
This division, for 8-12 year old players, is designed to assist players with the continued development and refining of their fundamental skills, while they begin to understand game strategy, or who may not want to play Little League baseball, cannot commit to the schedule or, are not drafted into the Little League. All 8-12 year olds not currently assigned to a team, or those existing Minor League players looking to be drafted by a Little League team, must attend an evaluation for Little & Minor Leagues. All current Minor League players are encouraged to go through these evaluations. Those players not drafted by a Little League team will be then drafted by a Minor League team or return to their existing Minor League team. AAA players will pitch to each other. AA will use a pitching machine. The games consist of six innings, score is kept, time limits are 1 hour and 45 minutes.
AAA: 8-12 years old - Kid Pitch
AA: 8-12 years old - Machine Pitch
COACH PITCH
This division, is primarily for 6-7 year-olds who have played T-Ball and can advance to the next level, it continues teaching the game fundamentals and building player confidence. It is at this level that the players will only play with a live pitch thrown by an adult. The games consist of six innings, score is kept along with recorded outs and a time limit of 1 hour and 45 minutes.
T-BALL
This program is recommended for 4-5 year olds to teach the fundamentals of hitting and fielding. All batters will hit from a batting tee which is adjusted to a height that allows the batter to swing level. Adult coaches are stationed beyond the infielders in order to provide instruction to all defensive players. The primary goal is to begin to instruct young players in the fundamentals of baseball in a supportive team environment. Games are 1 hour in length, score is not kept, all players hit each inning. Towards the later part of the season, coaches will pitch to kids. Expect about 10 games to be played pending weather, we will do our best to make up games for the kids. We anticipate a May start for games in this division.
