Integrity. Perseverance. Teamwork. These are all traits we desire in our future employees and community leaders. These are also the traits that West Side Little League aims to instill in the hundreds of boys and girls that play baseball and softball with us each summer. That was never more evident that during our team’s run to the 2021 Little League World Series Championship game. The Tom Seaver Champions never backed down, winning elimination game after elimination game all while representing Hamilton with class and humility. Through America’s favorite pastime, those young men advanced further than any Ohio team has in the history of the World Series, putting Hamilton baseball on the map in the process.
As exciting as the World Series run was for the players, families, and the entire Hamilton community, it would not have been possible without the help of our generous sponsors. In Hamilton, our local sports teams are part of the fabric of our community. At West Side, we offer a family that consists of 70 years of baseball tradition. With the help of sponsors like you and volunteers from across the city, we have achieved great success including seventy-two district championships, thirty-one state championships, and five regional championships. And, of course, our five Little League World Series appearances. Throughout the history of the World Series, West Side Little League has sent more teams to Williamsport than 16 states.
While we should certainly look back fondly at the past, we also must focus on the future West Side players. This includes almost 40 teams from T-ball to Little League practicing and competing on six fields and four batting cages. In addition to our World Series run in 2021, this past year our 12U Team won the District 9 title, our 11U team won the Ohio State Championship and our 10U team won the District 9 title. The future of West Side baseball and softball is bright.
